Yang’s Mission: A Lifetime of Perseverance    

从1988到2010年，一间简陋的窝棚，是一位退休的地委书记住了整整22年的地方。  

In the crude shack lived a retired prefectural secretary for 22 years.  

1988年，当退休的杨善洲承包了山林准备植树时，有人说老书记终于要为自己挣钱了，杨善洲听完一笑了之。  

When Yang Shanzhou, the retired secretary, contracted to plant trees on a mountain in 1988, some said that the old secretary wanted to make money eventually. Yang laughed it off.  

2010年春天，杨善洲把花了20多年心血种植起来的价值3亿多元的林场，无偿捐给了国家。  

In the spring of 2010, the forest farm, the land that he had worked on for over 20 years, which was worth more than ￥300 million, was generously donated to the state.  

几个月后，这位有58年党龄的共产党员去世了。
