2012年12月8日13时40分，哈萨克斯坦首都阿斯塔纳，中哈原油管道扩建和运行相关事宜政府间协议签署。仿佛是为等待这一刻的到来，22分钟后，北京，在昏迷18天后，为此呕心沥血、国内外多方奔走的中国石油天然气股份有限公司副总裁兼中亚地区协调组组长孙波的心脏停止了跳动。  

At 13:40 on December 8, 2012, an intergovernmental agreement on the expansion and operation of the China-Kazakhstan crude oil pipeline was signed in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. 22 minutes later in Beijing, Sun Bo, the Vice President of China National Petroleum Corporation and head of the Central Asia Regional Coordination Group, had his last heartbeat after a 18-day coma, as if he was waiting for this moment, for which he had worked his heart out and traveled tirelessly at home and overseas.    

茫茫戈壁、浩浩长天，沿着古老的丝绸之路，中亚天然气管道横跨土库曼斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦、哈萨克斯坦三国，与西气东输二线相连，如巨龙匍匐，气流滚滚，向东而行，为英雄悲恸，为忠魂呜咽……中央组织部印发通知，追授孙波同志“全国优秀共产党员”称号。他将个人的人生路，融入我国石油事业的海外路，一步一个脚印，践行着中国石油企业走向海外，保障国家能源供应的庄严使命。  

Under the vast Gobi and the vast sky, along the ancient Silk Road, the Central Asian natural gas pipeline spans Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, and is connected to the second line of the West-East Natural Gas Pipeline. The huge pipeline is crawling eastward like a dragon, as if mourning for the hero and sobbing for the loyal soul. The Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC issued a notice posthumously, awarding Comrade Sun Bo the title of "National Outstanding Communist Party Member". He has integrated his life into our country's overseas petroleum industry, step by step, fulfilling the solemn mission of Chinese oil companies to go overseas and to guarantee the country's energy supply.
