《周恩来夫妇：交党费的榜样》

推荐理由：党费是一面镜子，可以照见党员内心的忠诚、信念、使命和担当。周恩来同志是伟大的无产阶级革命家，他与夫人邓颖超一生廉洁，生平收入除了工资和银行所得的利息外，没有其他进账。周恩来夫妇除了每月按时交纳党费外还额外缴纳了“特殊的党费”，他们的做法是每一个共产党人学习的榜样。

The Zhous：A Molel of Paying Party Dues    

周恩来同志是伟大的无产阶级革命家，他与邓颖超一生廉洁，生平收入除了工资和从银行所得的利息外，没有其他进账。  

Comrade Zhou Enlai was a great proletarian revolutionist. He and his wife Deng Yingchao were honest and upright in all their lives. They had no income except wages and the interest of their deposit.  

1935年10月，中央红军到达陕北后，周恩来同志忙于处理各种工作。有一次，警卫员魏国禄不忍打扰他，就替他交了五分钱的党费。不久，周恩来同志找到魏国禄交党费，在得知自己的党费被其交纳后，他说，党费不能让别人代交，军政大事重要，交党费也很重要，这是每个党员的义务，他把五分钱党费交给了魏国禄。虽然只是五分钱的党费，但周恩来同志看得很重。  

After the central red army arrived in Northern Shaanxi in October 1935, Comrade Zhou Enlai was busy with all kinds of work. On one occasion, the guard Wei Guolu could not bear to disturb him, so Wei paid five cents as the party membership dues for Zhou. Soon, Comrade Zhou Enlai went to Wei Guolu to pay the party dues. After learning that his party dues was paid, Comrade Zhou said that paying party dues is the duty of every party member, and it cannot be done by others for it is of the same importance of military and political affairs. Then he handed his dues of five-cent to Wei.  

周恩来夫妇除了每月按时交纳党费外，两人手中的钱凑到近5000元的时候就会作为党费上交，据他侄子回忆，他们总共交纳了三次“特殊的党费”，最多一次交了7000元，总共交了14000元。  

Apart from paying party dues on time every month, Comrade Zhou and Deng would hand over their savings as their party dues once they saved up to 5,000 yuan. According to his nephew’s recollection, they paid “special party dues” three times of 14000 yuan in total, among which 7000 yuan was the most at one time.  

周恩来同志去世后，他和邓颖超同志的积蓄合计5709.80元。之后，邓颖超同志又交过3000元党费。邓颖超同志去世后，她嘱托身边人，要将她的所有积蓄11146.95元，其中包括购买的550元国库券，全部用来交党费。  

After Comrade Zhou Enlai passing away, he and Comrade Deng Yingchao accumulated a total of 5709.80 yuan. Later, Comrade Deng Yingchao paid another 3,000 yuan as party dues. According to Comrade Deng Yingchao’s will, she asked people around her to hand on all her savings of 11146.95 yuan, including 550 yuan treasury bonds to the party.  

周恩来夫妇不仅每月按时交纳党费，而且还交纳了“特殊的党费”。他们的做法，是每一个共产党人学习的榜样。  

Zhou Enlai and his wife not only paid party dues on time every month, but also paid “special party dues”. What they did is an example for every communist to follow.
